What tools are required for installation?
Required Tools
- Drill
- Hole saw (matching vent size)
- 2.5” vent → 2.5” hole saw
- 4” vent → 4” hole saw
- 6” vent → 6” hole saw
Recommended Tools
- Deburring tool
- Alignment jig
Additional Notes
Hole saws are available at most hardware stores or online
Deburring tools:
- Quickly remove plastic shavings
- Safer and more efficient than razor blades
Alignment jigs:
- Ensure consistent placement
- Improve overall professional appearance
I already have a hole that isn’t 2.5”, 4”, or 6”. What should I do?
We offer hole saw alignment guides to help enlarge existing holes.
How it works
Guide attaches inside the hole saw and centers the saw using the existing hole
Available Guide Sizes
- 2”
- 2.5”
- 3”
- 4”
- 5”
Example
A 2” hole can be expanded to 2.5” using:
2” alignment guide + 2.5” hole saw
Important:Ensure the final hole allows the EZ Vent flange to sit flat without interference.
Do you have any tips for installation?
Follow these tips for best results:
- Let the tool do the work
- Avoid excessive pressure while drilling
- Use low drill speed
- Prevents melting and plastic buildup
- If catching occurs finish drilling in reverse
- Use a sacrificial backer board; it reduces risk of cracking or deformation
Proper use and maintenance
How should I clean the EZ Vent?
Cleaning is simple and quick:
- Remove the vent from the tub
- Separate the screen
- Soak in warm water with mild disinfectant
- Lightly scrub with non-abrasive sponge or microfiber to remove buildup
Important Notes
- Do not use abrasive sponges, tools or metal brushes
- Plastic-coated mesh is durable, but metal tools can damage the coating

What’s the difference between Version 1 and Version 2 EZ Vent?
After a year of feedback and refinement, we are proud to introduce the Version 2 EZ Vent. While the core concept remains the same, several key improvements have been made:
Key Improvements in Version 2
Enhanced Thread Design
- Eliminated perimeter alignment notches
- Easier installation: simply reverse twist to engage threads, then tighten
Larger Outer Flange
- Covers more surface area
- Helps accommodate slightly oversized drilled holes
Tighter Fit
- Reduced play in the vent once installed
Optimized Thickness
- 4” and 6” vents are now thinner
- 2.5” vent is slightly thicker for added strength
- All vents remain stackable in tubs
Upgraded Mesh System
- Exclusive black polyethylene-coated stainless steel mesh
- Improved visibility into enclosures
- Easier cleaning due to coated surface filling micro-crevices
- Replacement mesh available for Version 1 (4” and 6” only)
- Note: Version 2 (2.5”) requires a full vent replacement due to size changes
Improved Print Quality
- Stronger layer adhesion
- Textured finish reduces visible 3D print lines
Increased Ventilation (2.5”)

Will EZ Vent be available in different colors?
Currently, black is the standard option due to its clean, minimal, and widely compatible appearance.
- Custom colors may be available upon request
- Minimum order quantities will apply for non-standard colors
Will STL files for EZ Vents or jigs be available?
EZ Vent designs (2.5”, 4”, 6”, EZ Access): Not available
